The exploring the Mansion and grounds, beautiful gardens, good displays, Cafe- great meals reasonably priced .Close vicinity to the Vinery and Zoo. Friendly and helpful staff.
St. Joseph Restaurant expensive. You should be able to purchase indivdual courses at a set price for each course.
We stayed because of the Play at the Mansion. I think the decor should be in keeping with the old world of the Mansion. In an old world atmosphere there would be welcome free biscuits for guests in the room!!
What I didn't like would in the form of a complaint so I will leave it.
Definately the hot stone massage. Kymberly did an excellant job.
The grounds are lovely. Front desk staff were fantastic - particularly Wendy on check out and the young lady on the Saturday afternoon.
Being on the ground floor was terribly noisy as the wedding guests all decided to yell up and down the corridor when they returned to their rooms at midnight and then housekeeping decided to yell and slam doors at 7am!
The historical value of the mansion & the beautiful gardens in the park.
Room size was too small and the reception fellow upon checkout 12am Dec 11 was most inefficient.
unfortuneatly we struck 2 wedding parties , could not get near the bar for cocktail , drinks... restaurant totally booked out , very dissapointed as had no alternative to eat in room.. surely they must cater for Hotel guests first , or ask when "book in would you like to dine at restaurant.." , at least this MAY get you a seat...
Almost everything. Very relaxing.
Suggestion Had trouble finding instructions to adjust air conditioning. The night was cool. No idea of temperature. Bed was too soft and inclined not flat. Difficult to sleep
If you just want to get away and relax, everything is in walking distance; gardens, winery (recommended), cafe, mansion, Werribee Zoo, gym, pool, sauna and all other interesting features of this property. We enjoyed ourselves and some staff (Helen) went over board to make us feel special. We had laughs interesting walks and fine wines OMG what else do you want.
Little bit expensive at the resteraunt most people are average with kids and mortgage another menu for the average person would be a finishing touch. mind you i fully enjoyed the menu available but just a bit to steep. service was excellent again with laughs with the staff and other surrounding people.
Close to city , historic value, fine dining , beautiful gardens
The rooms were small and hardly any room to move around. Very small space to hang clothes. No accessible hooks to hang towels or clothes in the bathroom.
Hotel structure - grand stately mansion and surrounding grounds Amenities and room bedding - perfect
In Room Dining menu - limited to only 3 choices for main foods. Food served was of very small portions, dry, oily and not fresh. Spa - scheduling of their appointment was extremely poor. They got my appointment time incorrect and I lost 15mins from my massage time but was still charged for the full hour. No prior confirmation call or text nor reception check-in to confirm the appointment time. Additionally, the massage therapist very inexperienced and clearly in training. I did not get a massage but rather someone just rubbing oil on me - very frustrating. Check-In - hotel staff allocated me a room which someone was already occupying.
Lovely seeing the mansion, my father in law was the care taker, for some years before he died, great to see is being used for three pleasure of many.
beautiful location, friendly helpful staff
the bed was comfortable on one side but the other side was most uncomfortable with a pronounced dip in the middle.
Friendly staff, beautiful building, gardens and room. Beautiful and relaxing
